1 Building Your Video with Modules
Modules are a great way to tell your stories. They can be as short as 30 seconds or as long as 3 minutes. Modules are stand alone stories that when placed together tell a larger story. Modules can be created so that if it was taken out of the main story line, the viewer would not notice. Modules are stories, not topics and they answer a question. For your benefit, six different modules are described below.

You will need to have QuickTime 7 to view these videos.

Cultural Module

The Cultural story modules have been one of the staples of missionary show and tell. In the beginning of a program, Cultural modules can set the tone and mood of your video.

The Aguayo - 2.1 MB - 46 sec.
The Llama - 1.6 MB - 36 sec.
Tortilla Factory - 2.2 MB - 30 sec.

Is It Worth It All (IIWIA) Module

In this story module the question is raised, "Have you ever wondered if missionaries want to quit?" The IIWIA presents an unadorned picture of you as a real person. It allow your audience to see the side of you where God is still working. It adds balance to the success stories.

This may be the most powerful story you can tell. It has the potential to be used by god to allow your audience to identify with you or you main character and the difficulties you are going through in you ministry.

Bratts - 9.4 MB - 2:33 min.
Paul Powell - 5.4 MB - 2:05 min.

Nuts & Bolts Module

This Module is to give the basic information of who you are and the organization you belong to. Many who view your video may know you, but not be familiar with the organization you work with, or the extent of its various ministries.

Greg Waite - 3.9 MB - 1:28 sec.

Spiritual Needs Module

The Spiritual Needs story module illustrates a person' life apart from God, or , if it is an animistic people group, their spirit worship or taboos. We all have spiritual needs, but many Christians today are not ware of how people can be bound by spiritual darkness.

Amos - 1.9 MB - 44 sec.
Eduardo - 4.7 MB - 1:49 min.

End-Result Module

This is a logical follow-up to the IIWIA module. Is it worth it all? You bet, and here's why-the end result. The purpose of the End-Result module is to demonstrate the objective of your work. Select stories that illustrate how lives have been changed spiritually.

For you who are "support workers," these stories don't have to be firsthand experiences. You can draw upon the larger efforts of your mission team and tell the big picture.

Sylvia's Letter - 4.5 MB - 1:44 min.
Ken Hankins - 3.9 MB - 1:31 min.

The Closing Module

When concluding your video, you can challenge your friends to pray or ask them to become involved in your ministry, and that is good, but you may want to use a story that illustrated the point of your message as well.

Building the wall - 6 MB - 2:18 min.
